I am Valter
Westerlund

— Based in Gothenburg, Sweden

3D Artist & Product Visualizer

I'm a 3D Artist and Product Visualizer with a passion for making cool stuff that look good, pretty simple.

Behind that is a background in product development and a bachelor's in design engineering. My path here hasn't been straight. Before landing in 3D or design, I worked across the service industry and spent a stretch in the army, experiences I cherrish deeply as they instilled in me a great work ethic and collaborative instinct.

I'm a recovering perfectionist. I care deeply about the details and push myself to try new approaches on every project, but I'm learning that knowing when something is done is just as important as getting it right.

When I'm not on a client project, I'm probably in the same chair in front of the same screen, either buried in a personal project, revisiting World of Warcraft Classic (send help), or working through my ever-growing watchlist.

How it works

The process

A process built around collaboration and transparency. You always know where things stand, and your feedback shapes every step along the way.

01
Brief & Moodboard
Our first step is a conversation where you walk me through your vision and specifications. From there, I put together a moodboard so we can align on look, feel, and direction before a single model is built.
02
Blockout
A rough but honest preview of the project. Simple shapes stand in for final geometry so you can react to composition, timing, and pacing early, when changes are easy
03
Material Preview
The scene comes to life. Products are modelled, materials and lighting are applied, and animation is refined. You receive a near-complete preview for review and feedback before anything is locked in.
04
Final Render
With your approval, the finishing touches go in and the scene is rendered at full quality. Post production and editing follow, and the completed files are delivered.
